The month-long interdisciplinary program will begin on 2\nJuly with a special scholarship from the Israeli National Council for Higher\nEducation. The scholarship of $2720 (Rs 1,76,800) covers tuition and housing\nincluding weekday suppers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eight\nstudents from the Jindal School of International Affairs (JSIA) and two from\nJindal Global Law School (JGLS) have been selected for the aforementioned\nprogram. The list of students includes- Neha Sirohi, Mansheetal Singh, Samarth\nKavoori, Suraj Ranjan, Viswas Viswanath, Pragadish Kirubakaran, Megha Gupta,\nHima Bindu from JSIA; Keshav Mittal Kumar and Rishabh Rao Yandamuri from JGLS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr.\nKhinvraj Jangid, Assistant Professor &amp; Faculty Coordinator, Jindal Centre\nfor Israel Studies (JCIS) said \u201cJindal Centre for Israel Studies&nbsp;has\nsuccessfully created an international opportunity for JGU students for the\nfourth consecutive year. Four students from the university were selected for\nthe first time in 2015 followed by six students in 2016 and nine students in 2017.\nGoing to Israel will certainly enable the students to have first-hand\nexperience of the place where conflict, war and violence are often in the news.\nConflicts such as Israel-Palestine or India-Pakistan are complex because of the\ncentrality of identity (ethnic, religious) questions&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Congratulating the students on achieving\nthis feat, JGU VC Professor <strong>(Dr) C Raj Kumar<\/strong>&nbsp;said, \u201cJGU\u2019s\naspiration to become a world-class university is founded on our commitment to\npromoting high-quality interdisciplinary approach in a vibrant and plural\nenvironment, facilitated by a supportive governance and management structure,\nenabling policies and facilities and state-of-the-art-infrastructure. These\ninternational exchanges not only will broaden the horizon of the participants but\nwill also arm them with a greater degree of intellectual prowess towards global\nissues\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>JCIS\nreflects interdisciplinarity and underlines JGU\u2019s overarching vision to promote\na global perspective and merges studies of culture, history, regional conflict\nin the West Asia and spatial coexistence. Anchored by leading scholars and\npractitioners, this unique program by Bar Ilan University will equip the\nstudents to interact with different parties of the conflict. According to Bar\nIlan University, under this interdisciplinary four-week program participants\nwill have four courses of eight academic credits. The students will receive a\ncertificate of participation upon completion of all courses (issued by the\nUniversity\u2019s Faculty of Law). The summer program managed by the Faculty of Law\nat Bar Ilan University provides &#8211; thorough on-site experiential and traditional\nlearning &#8211; theoretical and practical insights.
