The\nCIAS has partnered with the Commonwealth Attorney-General\u2019s department and a\nnumber of leading Australian law firms for YLEAP, an initiative which provides\nunique internship opportunities for JGU students in Australia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The launch of YLEAP allows\nstudents to gain valuable international work experience in law firms and\ngovernment organisations and provides a unique stepping stone for Indian\nstudents who are considering a potential career in Australia. With YLEAP, JGU\nand the CIAS are another step closer to realising the vision of making Indian\nstudents more aware of opportunities in Australia and importantly, making\nAustralia more accessible to India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Commenting on these\ndevelopments, <strong>Founding Vice Chancellor of JGU, Professor (Dr.) C. Raj Kumar<\/strong>,\nstated \u201cAs a global university, JGU always strives to provide unique global\nopportunities to our students. The Australian education system is truly world\nclass and we have close ties with some of the leading global universities based\nin Australia. These internship opportunities are a welcome addition to the\nopportunities that we provide for our students in Australia.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Secretary of the\nAttorney Generals Department, Mr. Chris Moraitis PSM, noted that \u201cI look\nforward to welcoming students of the 91Ì½»¨ to\nparticipate in this exciting internship opportunity at the Australian\nGovernment Attorney-General\u2019s Department. I am confident that these internships\nwill be educational and rewarding.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to these\nunique work experience opportunities, the Law Council of Australia recently\nrecognised the JGLS degree, making it much simpler for JGLS graduates to become\nqualified to practise law in Australia.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Corrs Chambers Westgarth, Mr.\nJohn W.H.
