Jindal\nGlobal University (JGU) recently launched its flagship initiative, the Young\nLeaders Externship Advancement Programme (YLEAP) in Australia. The CIAS has\npartnered with the Commonwealth Attorney-General\u2019s department and a number of\nleading Australian law firms for YLEAP, an initiative which provides unique\ninternship opportunities for JGU students in Australia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The launch of YLEAP allows students to gain valuable international\nwork experience in law firms and government organisations and provides a unique\nstepping stone for Indian students who are considering a potential career in\nAustralia. With YLEAP, JGU and the CIAS are another step closer to realising\nthe vision of making Indian students more aware of opportunities in Australia\nand importantly, making Australia more accessible to India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Commenting on these developments, <strong>Founding Vice Chancellor of\nJGU, Professor (Dr.) C. Raj Kumar<\/strong>, stated \u201cAs a global university, JGU\nalways strives to provide unique global opportunities to our students. The\nAustralian education system is truly world class and we have close ties with\nsome of the leading global universities based in Australia. These internship\nopportunities are a welcome addition to the opportunities that we provide for\nour students in Australia.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Secretary of the Attorney<\/strong><strong>&#8211;<\/strong><strong>General<\/strong><strong>\u2019<\/strong><strong>s Department, Mr.\nChris Moraitis PSM<\/strong>, noted that \u201cI look\nforward to welcoming students of the 91Ì½»¨ to\nparticipate in this exciting internship opportunity at the Australian\nGovernment Attorney-General\u2019s Department. I am confident that these internships\nwill be educational and rewarding.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to these unique work experience opportunities, the Law\nCouncil of Australia recently recognised the JGLS degree, making it much\nsimpler for JGLS graduates to become qualified to practise law in\nAustralia.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Corrs Chambers Westgarth,\nMr. John W.H.
