Who\u2019s going to be my roommate? What are my classmates like? Who am I going to befriend?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Who am Igoing to be?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you finally get there and you\u2019re lost in the swarm, pretending like you know exactly what you\u2019re doing and where you\u2019re going. Trying to muster up courage or maybe smother your ego to ask someone for help. What you might feel is&nbsp;<em>scared, lost, sick<\/em>&nbsp;and just a hint of&nbsp;<em>exhilaration<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There\u2019s an&nbsp;<em>emptiness<\/em>&nbsp;when you enter your new room and a&nbsp;<em>loneliness<\/em>&nbsp;when sitting through orientation.&nbsp;<em>Lucky<\/em>, if you\u2019ve somehow managed to make a few friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first week may&nbsp;<em>suck<\/em>&nbsp;or be<em>&nbsp;incredible&nbsp;<\/em>but eventually you\u2019ll begin to&nbsp;<em>hope.<\/em>&nbsp;You\u2019ll forget the&nbsp;<em>embarrassing<\/em>&nbsp;moments and giggle at the&nbsp;<em>hilarious<\/em>&nbsp;ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And finally, you\u2019ll begin to&nbsp;<em>live.<\/em>&nbsp;Because college is the one place where you\u2019ll learn so many more words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Love<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Passion<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Struggle<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Achievement<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Loss<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Disagreement<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Euphoria<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Lazy<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Ecstasy<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Hatred<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u2026.and so the list goes on.<\/em><br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Once you get that acceptance letter and you begin packing your bags the word that comes to my mind is,&nbsp;home.
