The Centre organised a full-day workshop titled ‘Bridging Legal Theory and Technology: A Hands-On LegalTech Training’ in association with Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) and CAM’s LegalTech and Innovation Certificate (CLIC) programme. The workshop provided participants with a practical understanding of the evolving legal landscape and the specific skill sets that top-tier law firms are seeking in the age of AI. It highlighted how AI platforms, including Legora and CaseMine, the workshop’s technology partners, are being utilised by CAM to improve operational efficiency, a key focus of the CLIC programme’s vision. The CLIC programme is designed for law students and legal professionals and aims to foster innovative thinking and an adaptive approach to legal practice through modules on LegalTech, New Law, and Design Thinking. The workshop was well received, with students demonstrating enthusiasm and generating insightful discussion on the practical application of legal technology and the implications of AI-driven practice for the next generation of lawyers.
