Prof. Sidharth Chauhan, Director of the Centre, participated in a session on ‘From Guidelines to Ground: Institutional AI Safety for India and the Global South: Making AI Governance Operational’ organised during the AI Summit. His co-panellists included representatives from Mastercard, the Embassy of Colombia, NVIDIA, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, The Quantum Hub, and The Dialogue. The session was organised by Project AWARE and The Dialogue, and was moderated by AbdullahX. The discussion addressed the concrete challenge of translating high-level AI safety principles into implementable institutional frameworks, with particular attention to the governance contexts of India and the broader Global South. Prof. Chauhan’s participation reflected the Centre’s sustained commitment to advancing practical and inclusive approaches to AI governance.
