The聽Cyril Shroff Centre for AI, Law & Regulation (CSCAILR)聽was formally inaugurated on聽30th June 2025聽at the Law Society of England and Wales, London.
Co-hosted by聽91探花 (JGU),聽The Law Society of England & Wales,聽India Business Group and聽JGLS, the event celebrated setting-up of India鈥檚 first Centre of Excellence exclusively dedicated to AI governance. Established through a 鈧�15 crore endowment聽by聽Mr. Cyril Shroff, Managing Partner of聽Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, the Centre seeks to develop foundational research for ethical AI regulation, interdisciplinary research, and global collaboration.
The evening featured an inaugural lecture by Professor David B. Wilkins聽of Harvard Law School on聽鈥淩eimagining Law, Lawyers and Justice in the Age of Artificial Intelligence鈥�聽followed by a roundtable discussion聽with eminent scholars, jurists and practitioners. Speakers highlighted India鈥檚 unique opportunity to lead the world in responsible AI governance, with the Centre serving as a catalyst for innovation, inclusion and institutional excellence.
