
Prof. Nikhil Naren, Assistant Director at the Centre, moderated a featured roundtable at the CyberPeace Summit 2026 held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The session, titled ‘Measuring Trust in Cyberspace: The CyberPeace Index’, examined cyber norms, confidence-building measures, and trust frameworks that strengthen stability in the digital domain. The panel brought together an outstanding group of experts including Dr. Shruti Mantri (ISB Hyderabad), Maj. Sadhna Singh (NITI Aayog), Mr. Deepak Maheshwari (CSEP), Mr. Freddie Woolland (CWSRG), Mr. Edmon Chung (DotAsia Organisation), Dr. Bich Tran (RSIS), Dr. Samiran Gupta (ICANN), and Dr. Muyambi Fortunate (East Africa Science and Technology Commission). The session focused on how ‘trust’ in cyberspace can be operationalised – moving from high-level principles to implementable frameworks. Prof. Naren’s moderation facilitated an evidence-led, solutions-focused dialogue on the measurable dimensions of cyber trust and the institutional mechanisms available to strengthen them.
