Team Tark AI was awarded the Public Choice Award at the Inria France AI Grand Challenge 2026, receiving the highest number of votes among participating teams in the final round. The team’s work introduces an AI framework designed to deepen human reasoning through a structured, Socratic approach, moving beyond conventional large language model paradigms. The framework focuses on making reasoning processes visible, measurable, and pedagogically meaningful, contributing to broader conversations on responsible and human-centred AI. In recognition of their achievement, the team was invited to present its work at VivaTech Paris 2026, a leading global forum for technology and innovation. The team comprised students from Jindal Global Law School and the Jindal School of Government and Public Policy, under the mentorship of Prof. Ashwin Upreti. The achievement reflects the Centre’s ongoing emphasis on fostering student-led innovation and advancing the use of artificial intelligence for broader societal impact.
