The session examined the growing role of artificial intelligence in shaping the creation, amplification, and strategic deployment of information, with a focus on emerging challenges relating to misinformation, disinformation, and digital trust. The discussion brought together perspectives from technology, fact-checking, investigative journalism, and AI governance. Prof. Naren was joined by co-panellists including Ms. Mahsa Alimardani (WITNESS), Mr. Rakesh Dubbudu (Factly), and Ms. Saja H. Mortada (Arab Fact-Checkers&#8217; Network).
