As part of the India Immersion Programme on AI and Technology in Law at Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) for students from Seattle University School of Law, Prof. Spriha Bhandari from the Centre led a session on “Legal Engineering in the Age of Neurosymbolic AI: Layered Reasoning Pipelines with Logical LLMs”, organised in collaboration with the Office of International Affairs and Global Initiatives, 91̽»¨ (JGU). Through a live and interactive legal engineering interface developed by Prof. Bhandari, the session introduced students to law as a structured reasoning system that can be decomposed and translated into computational pipelines. The demonstration highlighted how legal reasoning can be designed, audited, and refined, emphasising that the accuracy of legal AI systems depends on the design and engineering of the reasoning process.
