The session focused on designing common metrics to measure the safety and trustworthiness of AI ecosystems across Asia, with particular attention to frameworks that uphold globally shared values while addressing region-specific risks. The roundtable brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including AI policy experts, representatives of global digital platforms, think tank researchers, technology entrepreneurs, and legal experts from across Asia and beyond, with participants drawn from the United States, Japan, South Korea, the UAE, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia, and Hong Kong. The session was moderated by Dr. Arun Teja Polcumpally, JSW Science and Technology Fellow at ASPI.
