Biography

Prof. Tejas is a young higher education professional working at the intersection of institution building, strategy, partnerships, and teaching, with a strong focus on entrepreneurship and leadership development. He currently leads portfolios in Academic Governance and Student Life, and Global Collaborations, alongside his ongoing research and teaching.

Tejas brings a unique combination of academic depth and practical experience in designing and building education initiatives, developing programmes, and delivering impactful teaching. His work is driven by a commitment to experiential learning, leadership development, and preparing students for real-world challenges.

He has designed and taught courses in entrepreneurship, business communication, and professional skills. His teaching approach is highly interactive and discussion-led, focused on bridging theory with practice, and follows the VAK (Visual, Auditory, and Kinesthetic) model of learning.

Tejas was also part of the founding team at the Daikin Japanese Institute of Manufacturing Excellence (DJIME), an Indo-Japan skill development initiative. In this role, he contributed to curriculum design, institutional strategy, and stakeholder partnerships, working closely with government and industry to develop employability-focused programmes, particularly for youth from rural and underserved backgrounds.

He is the Founder of the Indian School of Leadership Studies (ISLS), an initiative aimed at strengthening access to leadership education, career guidance, and personality development for school and undergraduate students. Through ISLS, he has worked to bridge gaps in mentorship and holistic development, especially for learners from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.

In addition, Tejas has contributed to youth development initiatives through the Yash Foundation, supporting leadership and career development programmes in rural contexts. He has served as an Advisor with 180 Degrees Consulting (United Kingdom) and has worked as a consultant with education-focused organisations on strategy, governance, and programme design in the UK.

His core academic and teaching interests include entrepreneurship, human resource management, leadership development, business communication, and professional skills. He is particularly interested in delivering courses that are experiential, interdisciplinary, and aligned with industry and societal needs.

Tejas is keen to continue teaching and contributing to the Indian higher education ecosystem, and remains engaged in institutional strategy, programme development, and partnerships alongside his teaching. His broader aspiration is to contribute to building student-centric, future-ready higher education institutions in India- ones that integrate academic learning with leadership, employability, real-world impact, and, above all, human values, nurturing young leaders with a mindset of learning to lead and leading to serve.
