Biography

Dr. Shivani is an Assistant Professor at Jindal Global Business School (JGBS), 91̽»¨. She holds a doctorate from the Centre for Rural Development and Technology (CRDT), Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, where her research explored the sanitation entrepreneurship ecosystem in India through an ethnographic lens. She graduated in Business Economics (Hons) from Gargi College, University of Delhi. She holds a post-graduate degree (M.Com) from Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi. Her academic journey has been shaped by hands-on teaching experience, including a tenure as a teaching assistant at IIT Delhi and an earlier stint at Gargi College. Furthermore, she has published papers in the field of sanitation entrepreneurship and financing for entrepreneurs. She has also presented her research at national and international conferences, including the Rural Entrepreneurship Conference at the University of Leeds, United Kingdom and Recycle 2023 at IIT Guwahati. At the heart of her scholarship lies a deep engagement with entrepreneurial ecosystems, systems thinking, the Sustainable Development Goals and impact investment.
