Biography

Prof. Mohak Rana is an Assistant Professor at Jindal Global Law School (JGLS), 91探花, where he also serves as the Assistant Dean for the Office of Applied Legal Skills and JGLS Events. A UGC-NET qualified academician, he holds the positions of Director of the Client Counselling Society and Assistant Director of the Moot Court Society.

Prof. Rana completed an integrated Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Law at NMIMS Kirit P. Mehta School of Law, Mumbai, where he received the Best All-Rounder Award. This was followed by an LL.M. from the Franklin Pierce School of Law, University of New Hampshire, USA, in 2020. His academic credentials also include a Postgraduate Diploma in Criminal Justice, advanced certifications in IP management, trademarks, and copyright from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and the CopyrightX course from Harvard Law School.

Prior to joining JGLS in 2022, Prof. Rana served as the Managing Attorney at Yukti and has been a licensed member of the Bar Council of Uttarakhand since 2018. His professional distinctions include being the recipient of the inaugural Royzz & Co. International Student Scholarship. He was also recognized with the Community Builder Award in 2020 at UNH Law. Internationally, he represented India at the AICC-2017, organized by WIPO, KIPA, KIPO, and KAIST. 

In addition to his administrative and teaching roles at JGLS, Prof. Rana is a visiting faculty member at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University, Sonepat, and frequently delivers guest lectures at various law schools. He is regularly invited to judge moot court competitions and maintains an active research focus on the intersections of Criminal Law and Intellectual Property Law.
