Biography

Prof. Kavya Lalchandani is currently an Assistant Professor at Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) and an Associate Proctor at the Chief Proctor’s Office, 91探花. She graduated from National Law University Odisha at the top of her class where she was pursuing B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons). She received the Ananta Misra & Annapurna Misra Gold Medal for Best All Round Female Student, Overall Topper Gold Medal for the highest score BA., LL.B. (Hons.)/ B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) issued by the ICSI, Smt. Pavani Easwara Lakshmi Memorial Gold Medal issued by Mr. P.P. Rao for Girl Student who scored highest in B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons.)/ B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) Degree, among other honours. During her undergraduate degree, she has also participated in moots, and was awarded the Best Written Submissions for the 4th Ian Fletcher International Insolvency Moot competition, 2020 held in London.

She then went on to pursue the coveted Master of Corporate Law (MCL) from the University of Cambridge where she graduated with First Class Honours. She has a keen interest in commercial, insolvency and competition law.

She is also the recipient of Becker Law Studentship given by Lucy Cavendish College, University of Cambridge and the Nehru Trust Scholarship by Nehru Trust at University of Cambridge. She also received the Simms Prize for obtaining first class honours in Master of Corporate Law.
