Biography

Prof. Souradeep Mukhopadhyay is an Assistant Professor of Law at Jindal Global Law School and an Assistant Director of the Cyril Shroff Centre for AI, Law & Regulation. An intellectual property, data privacy and technology law enthusiast, he holds an LL.M. degree from Harvard Law School and a B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) degree from Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab, where he was the recipient of the Chancellor’s Gold Medal as well as the Justice Kesho Ram Passey’s Medal for Best Overall Performance.

Before joining Harvard, Prof. Mukhopadhyay was a Senior Associate in the litigation department of Anand & Anand, one of India’s leading intellectual property law firms. During his time at the firm, he regularly represented clients before the High Court of Delhi and the Supreme Court of India, as well as in complex mediations and negotiations. He has vast experience in advising and representing clients from a wide array of industries, including social media giants, major FMCG players, automobile manufacturers and innovator pharmaceutical companies.
