Biography

Sharmishtha holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, graduating with distinction. She was subsequently awarded a merit-based scholarship to pursue a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Intellectual Property and Technology Law at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, United States, where she also graduated with distinction.

Throughout her academic and professional journey, she gained valuable practical experience through internships with leading law firms. These engagements provided exposure to a diverse range of legal matters and enabled her to develop expertise in legal research, drafting, analysis, and client engagement. Her experiences cultivated a nuanced understanding of the evolving legal landscape and strengthened her interest in intellectual property, technology law, and the regulatory challenges posed by emerging technologies.

Her research interests lie at the intersection of law, culture, and technology, with particular emphasis on cultural history, privacy, digital governance, and the legal and societal implications of technological innovation.
