Biography

Sneha is a faculty member and researcher, working primarily in areas of criminal law, artificial intelligence and cyberspace. She is currently a doctoral candidate and her research focusses upon the admissibility regime of digital forensic evidence in India.  Her interest also lies in engaging with social realities and observing the actual functioning of law on ground.

She pursued LL.M. from National Law University Delhi in 2020 with specialisation in Criminal Law and Advanced Constitutional Law. Her dissertation sits at the intersection of decriminalisation, morality and Constitutional Principles in context of Sex work in India. She has qualified UGC NET for Assistant Professor in December 2019.

Along with academic specialisation she brings the practical experience of working in trial courts and as a legal manager in an infrastructure firm after having completed her LL.B. from Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. It gave her sound knowledge of procedural laws which helped in furthering her understanding of Civil and Criminal Law Jurisprudence. During her practice she was actively involved in mediation procedures. Having graduated in Forensic Science with a B.Sc. degree she was propelled to study law in order to gain in-depth understanding of Forensic Evidences in court rooms. She is interested in researching the converging points of Criminal laws and Constitutional Principles and their interpretation in light of needs and changes in society.

In addition to the academic profile at 91探花, Sneha has held various administrative positions in the past. She has worked as an Assistant Dean, JGLS Research Deans’ Office, Member of Course Manual Committee, and as an Assistant Proctor alongside undertaking multiple mentorship roles.
