Bachelor of Design (B.Des) - Interior Design

The four-year Interior Design pathway at JSDA is a cutting-edge programme in Interior Design that will make you an industry-ready design professional who is critical, and entrepreneurial; is globally competitive, and locally embedded; is invested in making, and able to think on your feet; and exercises empathy and practices judiciously across diverse scales and media.

Situating itself within the terrain of complex practices of inhabitation through objects, materials, and memories, this programme is suitable for students who want to work in the areas of Interior Design, Set and Production Design, Object Design, Appurtenances design, Museum and Event Design, Virtual Design, Retail Design, Interior Decor and other related fields of practice, etc.

Upon the successful completion of this program, you will be awarded a Bachelor of Design (B.Des) Interior Design Degree.

Course Duration and Fee Structure
Course Duration: 4 years (Full-time)
Tuition Fee: ₹ 5,00,000/- per annum*
(*Subject to an annual increase of up to 10%) | Scholarships: Merit-cum-Means (MCM) Scholarships covering tuition fees, based on income, board scores, JSAT/SAT/ACT results, and interview performance.
Accommodation Charges: ₹ 2,31,100/- per annum*

Refundable Security Deposit: ₹ 50,000/-
Other Allied Service Charges: ₹ 1,24,900/- per annum*
(Other Allied Services including but not limited to food, Laundry, Security Services, Housekeeping charges, electricity etc.)

Selection Process

  • Submission and shortlisting of application on the basis of Personal Statement.
  • Jindal Creative Aptitude Test (JCAT) or submission of NID/UCEED score.
  • Evaluation of portfolio, and performance in personal interview.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Successful completion of the Class 12 examination in any Stream from an Indian or Recognized international board (CBSE |ISC | State Board | Cambridge | IB | NIOS)
  • IB students must secure a diploma with minimum 24 credits with minimum 3 HL and 3 SL subjects.
  • Cambridge board students must secure an A level certificate.
