M.Sc. in Global Risk Management (Online)

Risk has become the defining feature of the modern economy. Financial volatility, geopolitical tensions, climate change, cyber threats and fragile global supply chains now interact in ways no single discipline can manage alone. Organisations need professionals who can measure risk precisely and see how risks connect across markets, technologies and borders. The online M.Sc. in Global Risk Management (GRM) at 91探花 is designed to meet this need. The curriculum closely matches the GARP's Financial Risk Manager (FRM) Part I and Part II syllabus, and it combines this global professional benchmark with rigorous academic study. It also gives particular attention to emerging-market dynamics in India and beyond. The result is a program that brings together quantitative depth, regulatory understanding and strategic judgement, enabling graduates to turn uncertainty into an opportunity for sustainable growth.

The journey starts with a foundation in enterprise risk, quantitative analysis, financial markets, and organisational behaviour. It then moves to risk valuation and modelling, technology, geopolitical and ethical dimensions, and on to advanced market, credit, liquidity, operational and investment risk. It ends with crisis leadership, regulation and current issues in global finance. Graduates are prepared for roles as risk managers, analysts, consultants, insurance risk professionals and fintech professionals, and they are well-positioned to pursue FRM certification.

On completing the program, graduates will be able to:

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the global financial system, enterprise risk management frameworks, and the regulatory and governance architecture, including the Basel standards, through which institutions manage risk.
  • Apply quantitative, statistical and data-driven techniques to measure, model and manage market, credit, liquidity, operational and investment risks, from Value-at-Risk and volatility forecasting to derivative pricing, hedging, simulation and machine learning.
  • Evaluate emerging and interconnected risks, including geopolitical, technological, cyber, climate, supply chain, and digital asset risks, and integrate them into sound strategic decisions and resilient organisational risk frameworks.
  • Demonstrate ethical judgement and a commitment to sustainability, good governance and a strong risk culture in the choices made by individuals and organisations.
  • Lead teams and organisations through uncertainty and crisis and communicate complex risk assessments clearly and credibly to boards, senior management, regulators and other stakeholders.
