International Student Experiences at JGU
Stories from our international students who embraced global learning at JGU.
I am Irina Lukashova, a final-year bachelor鈥檚 student at Saint Petersburg State University, specializing in Indo-Aryan philology. As part of my studies, I explored India and chose four courses at Jindal Global University: 鈥淒evelopment Debates: India and the World,鈥 鈥淕ender and Sexuality in Bollywood Cinema,鈥 鈥淭he Other Side of Silence: How Women Wrote Partition,鈥 and 鈥淚ntroduction to Translation.鈥
Each course provided a unique perspective on India. The Development Debates course compared Indian and Russian economic and political trajectories through engaging discussions. The Bollywood Cinema course explored Indian film history, character behavior, and review writing. The Partition Literature course focused on women鈥檚 narratives, enriched by the professor鈥檚 deep personal connection. The Translation course provided practical insights into translation techniques for natural fluency.
