Student Council and Elected Representation

JGU Student Council: 2025-26

At JGU, we believe in empowering our students by actively involving them in campus governance. To facilitate this, the university, in collaboration with its students, has established democratically elected Student Councils across all 12 of its schools.

These councils play a pivotal role in overseeing the academic, professional, and personal development of students鈥攂oth individually and collectively鈥攕triving to foster overall excellence.

Student Council members serve as key contributors to academic and disciplinary proceedings while ensuring seamless communication between students, faculty, administration, and staff. Elected through a democratic process, council members serve a term of one academic year, spanning the Spring and Fall semesters. Eligibility, qualifications, and roles for various membership positions are outlined in the Student Council Constitution.

Operating at the individual school level, these councils include all full-time students as members, promoting a vibrant, inclusive, and student-driven community at JGU.
